The trailer concludes with young Willy capturing a curious Oompa Loompa who has been shadowing him.
The initial trailer was exclusively presented to the CinemaCon audience in April 2022 but was not made public at the time. It offered a two-minute glimpse of Timothée’s Wonka engaging in various captivating acts, including busking with chocolate truffles in the streets while facing opposition from the police and clergymen. The trailer also featured Timothée tap-dancing on a table and leading a dance troupe that spelled out his name.
A golden ticket with a note from Wonka’s mother was seen in the trailer, adding a layer of intrigue. Timothée’s singing about the significance of sharing chocolate with loved ones was also featured.

Timothée Chalamet steps into the iconic role of Willy Wonka, portraying a younger version of the character created by Roald Dahl and first brought to life on screen by Gene Wilder in the 1971 classic ‘Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.’ Johnny Depp later assumed the role in Tim Burton’s adaptation of Dahl’s novel.
