A Glimpse into “Priscilla”

The film’s premise offers a tantalizing view: “When a teenage Priscilla Beaulieu encounters Elvis Presley at a party, the iconic rock-and-roll figure transforms into an unexpected persona in their private moments together—an exciting crush, a companion in loneliness, a gentle confidant.” Through Priscilla’s eyes, Sofia Coppola unravels the lesser-known aspects of a significant American narrative, tracing the intricate courtship and tumultuous marriage of Elvis and Priscilla, from a German military base to the enchanting Graceland estate.
